BISRA-LIMRA Bank Life Insurance Study
This year’s Bank Life Insurance Study has been released. The study looks at the sale of individual life insurance from the financial institutions’ perspective. The study examines how financial institutions organize and manage their programs, the distribution methods they use, and the progress they have made in selling life insurance. It shows the level of success institutions have achieved in selling life insurance to their existing customer base.
The study presents the best practices of those institutions that have had the most success in selling life insurance.
BISRA Benchmarking Study
This year’s Annual Benchmarking Study has been released. The study is an investment program management tool that provides peer performance metrics which allow institutions to benchmark strengths and weaknesses, set targets for best practices, and improve program performance.
This year’s study includes 98 performance metrics. In addition to metrics related to revenue, household and profit penetration, advisor and platform productivity and payout, product mix, expense ratios, referral activity, turnover, etc, we have added metrics related to recurring revenues, managed money, FC tenure, and the value of referrals.
2012 BISRA Financial Institution Investment Services Compensation Study
The study covers not only Advisor and Platform Rep compensation, but also management, administrative, sales management, marketing, and operations positions. In addition, the study reports on diversity in our industry. This year we have included a Trend Report which provides a snapshot of base compensation for years 2005, 2008, 2011 and 2012 along with incentive and total compensation for the first three years, respectively, on 19 positions, in order to give a historical perspective of compensation trending.
The BISRA Reports - Quarterly reports on both annuity and life insurance sales and carrier trending
These reports include sales of annuities and life insurance by product type through financial institutions, rankings of carriers by bank sales of product types, trends in bank sales productivity and product mix, and trends in interest crediting rates for the most popular fixed products.
